Global band hrtz.wav’s OST ‘You Keep Me Here’ breathes life into IU, Byeon Woo-seok’s romance in ‘Perfect Crown’

May 2, 2026, SEOUL, KOREA – From the romantic yacht scene featuring IU and Byeon Woo-seok to their marriage proposal, the key scenes of Kakao Entertainment’s hit production “Perfect Crown” have mesmerized global viewers, with seamlessly paired OSTs further heightening the mood.

‘You Keep Me Here’

Among them is “You Keep Me Here” by Kakao Entertainment’s rising K-band hrtz.wav, which garnered significant global buzz even before its official release scheduled for May 2. After being played during the dating scene between Seong Huiju (IU) and Grand Prince Ian (Byeon Woo-seok) on a yacht in the sixth episode, viewers flooded social media to uncover the title and singer of the captivating track.

The song is an R&B pop track with a lyrical melody set against a smooth guitar riff and a soulful rhythm. Member Riaan’s clear yet husky vocals add a layer of depth, elevating the track’s calm and profound atmosphere. The soft, ambient sound and warm emotions reflect the drama’s progression, showing how the protagonists heal each other’s wound and grow closer amidst a challenging reality.

This marks hrtz.wav’s first venture into drama OSTs. Consisting of five winners from the global band-making project “Steal Heart Club” – Keiten (guitar,) Hagiwa (drum,) Dane (bass,) Riaan (vocals,) and Youn Young-jun (keyboard) – the band recently debuted with the mini-album “The First Wave,” fronted by the lead track “NINETEEN.” Known for its refreshing band sound and sophisticated style, hrtz.wav is rapidly carving out its own niche in the global music scene. Dubbed a “next-generation K-pop band,” it has already secured spots on major festival stages. With this OST, the band transitions from its signature brightness to a softer, more lyrical sound, successfully broadening its musical spectrum.

‘My Favorite Part’

A day earlier, prominent singer-songwriter So Soo Bin released “My Favorite Part,” the seventh track on the “Perfect Crown” OST. The song also garnered an enthusiastic response even before its official release, as it flawlessly melded with the scene in the sixth episode featuring the dramatic, heart-fluttering marriage proposal between Seong Huiju and Grand Prince Ian. Built on a warm acoustic guitar arrangement, “My Favorite Part” is a pop ballad layered with So Soo Bin’s smooth and mellow vocals. Its lyrics express a deep devotion to a loved one and the poignant emotions shared between them, depicting how the protagonists gradually confirm their feelings for each other.

Set in 21st-century Korea under a fictional constitutional monarchy, “Perfect Crown” follows a chaebol heiress with everything but status – Seong Huiju – who tries to take control of her future after crossing paths with a lonely prince with nothing but his title – Grand Prince Ian. Together bound by a contract marriage, they begin a class-defying romance to rewrite destiny. Premiering on April 10, the drama has captivated global audiences, ranking No. 1 on Disney+’s Top TV Shows chart (non-English) according to FlixPatrol. It has also become the platform’s most-viewed Korean series premiere globally within five days of launch, with viewers calling it “a definite must-watch.” Major media outlets, including The Straits Times, have also noted the drama’s romance and chemistry.
