May 15, 2026, SEOUL, KOREA – Byeon Woo-seok will put out “Fate Line” – OST Part.11 for “Perfect Crown” – on May 15 (KST), encapsulating the emotional range of the drama as it approaches its end.
“Fate Line” is a lyrical ballad depicting the love of two people who have lived contrasting lives. As the title implies, it tells the story of a pair who seemingly could never meet, yet head toward each other until they are finally connected as one. Starting with an ethereal, lyrical piano sound, the track follows a heightened emotional arc bolstered by Byeon’s warm, velvety voice.
“Fate Line” is a “hidden card” track that was not included in Kakao Entertainment’s previously unveiled OST lineup featuring RIIZE, BOYNEXTDOOR, WOODZ, and KiiiKiii. Following in the footsteps of previous “Perfect Crown” OSTs that secured high rankings on global music charts, Byeon’s “Fate Line” is expected to maintain this winning streak.
OST albums
To sustain the drama’s momentum, Kakao Entertainment has several projects planned for global fans following its conclusion on May 16. It will roll out an online special album carrying 12 songs – including the previously unreleased “Already Free” by ALEPH – and 44 score tracks, May 16. From bright, heart-fluttering romance to precarious, subtle conflicts and the epic narratives of its characters, the upcoming album brings together the music that permeated every moment of “Perfect Crown.” The physical OST album will also come out on June 5, which includes photocards, film bookmarks, and posters. Pre-orders will start on May 15.
On the same day, Kakao Entertainment will unveil the 30-part web novel “Perfect Crown in Royal Academy of Korea” (produced by ROKMEDIA) exclusively on Kakao Page. Written by the drama’s writer Yoo Ji-won, the novel explores previously unreleased behind-the-scenes stories, following the characters during their time as students at the Royal Academy of Korea. It gives a sneak peek at the past lives of Seong Huiju, Grand Prince Ian, and other characters.
Kakao Entertainment will also host a “Perfect Crown” pop-up store at The Hyundai Seoul on May 19-28, offering a variety of eye-catching merchandise.
Set in 21st-century Korea under a fictional constitutional monarchy, “Perfect Crown” follows a chaebol heiress with everything but status – Seong Huiju – who tries to take control of her future after crossing paths with a lonely prince with nothing but his title – Grand Prince Ian. Together bound by a contract marriage, they begin a class-defying romance to rewrite destiny. The drama has captured the hearts of global audiences, ranking No. 1 on Disney+’s Top TV Shows chart (non-English.)
