April 7, 2026, SEOUL, KOREA – K-pop powerhouse MONSTA X is expanding its global footprints across TV and major media outlets.
The group appeared on ABC’s flagship show “Good Morning America” (GMA) on April 6 (U.S. time), marking their first visit in about six years. In celebration of their third English-language album “Unfold,” MONSTA X staged a riveting live performance and shared their excitement for their ongoing world tour, “THE X : NEXUS.”
MONSTA X premiered “heal,” the lead single from “Unfold,” on GMA. With this new style of song, the members delivered strong vocals and rich emotional expression, demonstrating their musical growth and versatility. Their distinct vocal tones added layers of emotion to the performance, mesmerizing global audiences.
With “Unfold,” MONSTA X became the first K-pop act to put out three full-length albums in English.
“We’ve prepared a lot of different styles of songs focusing on vocals and emotions,” the group said. “It is a ‘no-skip’ album.”
Shortly before the show, MONSTA X made headlines by extending their world tour to North America, adding 10 new stops. Kicking off in Fairfax on Oct. 3, they will perform in cities including New York, Toronto and Los Angeles, before wrapping up in Seattle on Oct. 24.
“We are finally back with something new,” MONSTA X said, adding that those curious about their music and performances should join them.
As the album title suggests, “Unfold” traces a flow of authentic emotions. Capturing the process of confronting emotional fractures and choosing healing and growth, the album carries 10 tracks spanning genres such as R&B, pop, hip-hop, and alternative pop. Among them, “heal” is a soulful pop track that blends a deep bassline with orchestral strings, conveying a tender message of love and recovery.
MONSTA X’s latest release is garnering positive reviews from various media outlets. Noting its feat as the first K-pop act to drop three English-language albums, Billboard wrote, “The lads aren’t mucking about; they full intend to cross borders.” It also highlighted that their previous English releases, “The Dreaming” and “All About Luv” both landed on the Billboard 200, while mentioning that “baby blue,” a song from “Unfold,” was first performed during the 2025 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour in four U.S. cities.
Forbes also spotlighted the group’s musical achievements and global competitiveness, stating, “It’s been nearly 11 years since their debut (which they will celebrate next month), MONSTA X has pushed the boundaries of Western music while maintaining their authenticity and Korean roots.” Regarding the “heal” music video, it said, “The group has always been great at pulling at the heartstrings with their music video filled with so much symbolism of torment and heartache.”
Access Hollywood highlighted fervent fan reactions to “Unfold,” describing MONSTA X as a rare K-pop act that authentically speaks to the U.S. market while maintaining their signature intensity and performance excellence.
MONSTA X is currently meeting global fans through the 2026 MONSTA X WORLD TOUR [THE X : NEXUS.] After commanding the stage in Jakarta on April 18, they will head to more cities including Osaka, Mexico City, and Sao Paulo.
