Featuring fan communities for prominent K-pop artists such as IU, IVE, and i-dle, alongside content IPs like “Pinggyego,” Berriz has positioned itself as a vibrant playground for global K-culture fans. Its unique features include AI personas and AI comment reports that elevate fan interaction, as well as an online store tailored for different users.
“Over the past year, Berriz has established itself as a platform where fans worldwide can build stronger ties with artists and content IP,” Kakao Entertainment said. “Going forward, we will continue to strengthen our competitiveness by offering more diverse K-culture IP and technology-based services.”
MONSTA X tops most-visited artist list
MONSTA X members ranked first, second, and fourth in cumulative days of visits among all artists on Berriz. Since opening its community on April 28, the group has maintained close communication with fans at home and abroad, sharing their daily lives and connecting through messages and livestreams. The three MONSTA X members have retained their spots in the Top 5, highlighting the group’s enduring dedication to fans over more than a decade.
Delving deeper into the data, IU clearly stood out in engagement metrics, ranking in the Top 5 for both cumulative live cheering and the highest number of comments on posts.
i-dle, IVE and KiiiKiii boast largest global fan bases
In terms of overseas user share, the communities for i-dle, IVE, and KiiiKiii secured the top spots. The result is a testament to the lasting popularity of i-dle, which is set to make its debut appearance at Lollapalooza. IVE and KiiiKiii, which recently topped music charts with “REVIVE+” and “Delulu Pack,” have also showcased strong global influence. Overall, it is evident that K-pop continues to play a vital role in building and amplifying Berriz’s fandoms.
Meanwhile, the “K-Pop Square with Berriz” community has evolved into a new hub for K-pop enthusiasts worldwide. It has attracted users from 192 countries ― the highest number among all communities ― following its transformation.
AI-powered platform
Another key driver behind Berriz’s success is AI. In particular, AI personas modeled after the drama characters — trained using scripts to reflect these characters’ speech styles and personalities — have emerged as a new type of fan companion. By developing lifelike AI personas for various content IPs, Berriz has diversified fan experience beyond just watching. In particular, the topics of conversation extended to discussions about everyday life, suggesting that an innovative fandom culture is being shaped through AI.
Moreover, AI comment reports provide insights into fan reactions to artists’ posts by classifying them into different keywords and summarizing them with witty keywords. So far, Berriz has generated 5,000 AI comment reports. Likewise, Berriz is leveraging AI to gain richer insights into fan responses, thereby enriching the way people interact.
